The Punjab University (PU), Chandigarh has decided to postpone the entrance exams to October. This decision has been taken due to the coronavirus pandemic. If this rate of pandemic continues then the classes for the new batch is set to commence from November 2020. The PU CET will be conducted from October 4. This exam corresponds to the undergraduate courses and for BA, BCom, LLB (Hons) five-year integrated course.

The Common Entrance Test (CET) for the postgraduate courses will be conducted from October 10 and 11 while PUTHAT will be held on October 16 and PUMEET, PULEET will be held on October 18. As per the official notice, the entrance test for LLB (three-year course), MBA executive, MPhil – PhD admissions will be held on October 22, 30, and November 7.

The university tweeted as

Those students who wish to apply for the university can visit the official website of the college- onlineadmissions.ouchd.ac.in and ugadmissions.puchd.ac.in. The application form is open till August 8 and the fee portal is open till August 10.

Among the courses which do not require entrance tests include MPharm, MTech, MSc, MEdg, MLib and Information Science, BA (Hons) in Economics, BA (Hons), B.Lib. and Information Science; B.Ed. Special Education (Learning Disability), P.G. Diploma Courses, etc.
