The Honorable Prime Miniter Narendra Modi wishes luck to the students who will be appearing for the Board Exams this year, saying “My Exam Warriors, Good Luck!” while addressing the students at his last Mann Ki Baat before the General Elections 2019. The Board Exams, conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education and Certificate for Indian School Certificate Examination, have already begun.

Along with the students, PM Modi also wished parents and teachers and referred to his discussion with students, parents, and teachers during the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0, saying “Recently I got the opportunity to talk to thousands of students, teachers, and parents with the help of technology through Pariksha Pe Charcha. We discussed a lot of issues related to the education sector.”

During the Pariksha Pe Charcha, PM Modi suggested parents and teachers addressing the issues related to board exams such as stress-related issues due to board exams.

“Timely intervention is necessary in cases of depression. Do not ignore early symptoms. We can fight back,” said he. “If smallest of symptoms of depressions are found, take your child to expert. Do not shy away from counseling. It is wrong to think about ‘what will people think, what if this gets leaked?’ Experts can help a child address their issues better,” PM told the parents

It has been reported that over 2.66 lakh students appeared for ICSE board exams last year, for both Class X and XII, and for CBSE Board Exams, over 31 lakh students will be appearing for the exams this year. This year, it has also been reported that CBSE and ICSE have extended the passing criteria for Class X students from 35% to 33%.
