Professor D.P Goyal has been recruited as the new Director of the Indian Institute of Management Shillong on Wednesday. Currently, he works as the Dean of Management at a Gurgaon based Management Development Institute (MDI). He has been recruited as the Director of IIM Shillong for a period of five years, announced by IIM-Shillong chief administrative officer Prashant Kulkarni.

Earlier, the person who served as the director of the IIM Shillong was Prof Amitabha De. The official announcement of the recruitment of Professor D P Goyal was announced by the Chairperson of the Board of Governers Shishir Bajoria on Tuesday.

Mr. Bajoria said, “I am indeed delighted to convey that Prof D P Goyal was the unanimous choice of the search-cum-selection committee and the BoG.”

Professor D P Goyal holds a Ph.D. degree from Kurukshetra University in Management and Information Systems. He also possesses an experience of 20 years in teaching at Thapar Institute of Technology, Punjabi University, IMT, Ghaziabad, and MDI.
