Virender Sehwag, the former Indian Cricketer, has agreed to bear all educational expenses of the children of all CRPF personnel who were martyred in the devastating terrorist attack in Awantipora town, Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, which killed over 44 CRPF Paramilitary personnel, where an explosive-filled SUV rammed into the buses of CRPF convoy.

“Nothing we can do will be enough, but the least I can do is offer to take complete care of the education of the children of our brave CRPF jawans martyred in #Pulwama in my Sehwag International School @SehwagSchool, Jhajjar. Saubhagya Hoga,” Sehwag tweeted.

Looking at the devasting and mourning situation of the country, Virat Kohli postponed the RP-SG Indian Sports Honours that was scheduled to be conducted on Sunday as their gesture to pay tribute to those CRPF jawans who martyred.

“The who’s who of entertainment and sports industry were expected to attend the award ceremony. Every partner and all the sports stars and delegates associated with this award have been informed and communicated with stating that hosting an event was unacceptable at this moment when India is mourning the death of its jawans,” a press release stated.

“The RP-SG Indian Sports Honours has been postponed. At this heavy moment of loss that we all find ourselves in, we would like to cancel this event that was scheduled to take place tomorrow,” Kohli tweeted.

Boxer Vijender Singh, now serving with Haryana Police has announced to donate a month’s salary for CRPF martyrs.

“I’m donating my one month’s salary for the martyrs of #PulwamaTerrorAttack and want everyone to come forward and support the families. It is our moral duty to always standby them and make them feel proud of their sacrifices. Jai Hind,” he said.
