The ruling Congress party has to face another embarrassment in Rajasthan as its students’ body National Students Union of India (NSUI) failed at the recently concluded Rajasthan Students’ Union Election 2019 and won’t able to bag even a single president’s post in the election.
The result were announced on 28th August 2019 and RSS backed ABVP (Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad) bagged 5 President’s Posts while 4 Independent candidates secured the top post in other government universities.
Rajasthan University Students’ Union Election 2019
In RUSU Election 2019, Pooja Verma candidate from NSUI, who contested as an independent candidate, grabs the President’s Post for the 4th time in a row. Pooja was standing against the NSUI and ABVP opponents to secure the president’s post in one of the largest Government Universities in the state.
NSUI’s Priyanka Meena bagged the vice president’s and candidate Mahaveer Prasad Gurjar won the election for the post of General Secretary post in RUSU Election 2019, while ABVP’s Kiran Meena became Joint Secretary in RUSU Election 2019.
Students’ Union Elections – Other Universities.
In Jai Narain Vyas University of Jodhpur an independent candidate Ravindra Singh Bhati win the post of President. Similarly at the Maharaja Ganga Singh University and at Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner Independent Candidate Shrawan Jakhar and Candidate Nikhil Pal Bajiya win the post of president respectively.
In Dayanand Saraswati University also all the four posts being bagged by RSS affiliated ABVP including the President’s Post won by Rameshwar Chaba. At Mohanlal Sukhadia University located at Udaipur, ABVP’s Nikhil Raj Singh Rathore bagged the top post. Again at Udaipur’s Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology the President’s position was bagged by ABVP’s Pawan Jat.
At Maharaja Surajmal Brij University in Bharatpur, ABVP’s Kavita Faujdar won the top post and ABVP’s Vijay Sharma bagged the student union president’s post at Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University located at jaipur.
