Registration deadline extended for CISCE compartment, Improvement Exams

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced to extend the deadline for registrations of ICSE, ISC compartment and improvement exams 2021.

Now, The students of ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 can apply for the compartment and improvement exams till August 4. As per the earlier schedule, the last date for registration was August 1.

The CISCE compartment and improvement exams for both the classes are planned to be conducted from August 16. Thus, interested candidate must register themselves online for appearing in this exams.

The Improvement exams are for those students who are unsatisfied with their results of ICSE and ISC Board examinations 2021 which were based on the evaluation policy of CISCE.

While students who have failed to qualify in the Annual examination can appear for the compartment exams. However, there is an eligibility criteria for students who are taking the this exams.

According to this criteria, any such student from ICSE Class 10 should have compulsorily passed in English along with any three other subjects of the curriculum.

Similarly, the students from ISC Class 12 must have passed in English and any two other subjects of their curriculum in order to be eligible for appearing in annual compartment exams 2021.

The Council has also informed that students who have submitted a dispute resolution request are also eligible to register themselves and take the improvement exams if they wish so.

CISCE in a statement has mentioned that students can also request for transfer or change of exam centres for improvement and compartment exams through the CAREERS portal on Council’s website.

However, The window for submitting the requests of transfer or change of exam centres will be opened after the registration process is completed for the above mentioned exams.

It must be noted that the annual ICSE and ISC Board Exams 2021 were cancelled due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic and results for the same were prepared using an alternate evaluation criteria.
