Richest Indians should contribute to education of children : Rahul Gandhi

Addressing the University students at JLN Stadium on Saturday for the event Shiksha: Dasha Aur Disha, Congress President Rahul Gandhi asserts that only a few people in the country witness the wealth of country since the country’s wealth is “concentrated” with a “few people”, and suggested that they must pay for  “large part of education” of students.

He also asserted the fact that Modi Government will never accept that there existed a ‘job crisis’ in the country. While commenting on to that he also added that the government should increase the budget towards the education sector.

“In a county of over 1.2 billion people, and India is creating about 450 jobs per 24 hours while China is creating 50,000 jobs in the same 24 hours,” he said, claiming, “these are not my figures but of the Finance Ministry given in Lok Sabha”.

He also shared his view upon privatization and asserted that privatization is the only way to improve the standards of education in the country.

The event witnessed the presence of Congress Chief and Sheila Dixit along with him. A two-minute silence was also witnessed paying tribute to the martyred soldiers during the Pulwama Attack.
