The Savitribai Phule Pune University has started to invite applications from the Ph.D. students, who took admission this year, for the Bharat Ratna JRD Tata Quality Research Fellowship. It has been decided that the fellowship will be offered to 100 deserving candidates. The deserving candidates will receive ₹8000 for three years.

While applying, the candidates would require an abstract of their desired research to be submitted, along with filling the application form online. Also, a considerable quota will be set depending upon the number of application received.
“The scholarship will be made available for one year only at first. After the year ends, the department officials will take a review of the work done and then decide whether to continue the scholarship for the student or not,” said officials from SPPU.
After filling the application form, and the confirmation page arrives, the candidates will be required to submit few documents to the Admission Department that includes the printout of the application form, letter of recommendation from the research guide and head of the department, marks statement of Master’s Degree, provisional Ph.D. admission letter, undertaking, and a brief description of the desired research topic.
