In the hearing held on June 22, The Supreme Court of india has cleared several plea filed regarding the CBSE class 12 Exams 2021. major decisions which came out from the supreme court were Rejection of Plea demanding cancellation of CBSE Compartment Exams and another is approval of Evaluation Policy for Class 12 students.

The Division Bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Dinesh Maheshwari heard a number of plea filed by different petitioners. The bench also rejected a plea which raised objections against the cancellation of Board Exams. The petitioner said to the court that if national level entrance exams like JEE and NEET can be held, then why not CBSE exams?

As a clearance to this, the SC bench said that decision over each exam is taken independently. The concern authorities has made decisions after immense consideration and are in favour of all stakeholders. SC disposed the plea stating that it there is no point to interfere in the decisions already made and let the exams stand cancelled.

The evaluation criteria proposed by CBSE for class 12 students has also been approved by the Apex Court. The Bench mentioned that the policy devised by CBSE seems to be fair and reasonable. The policy is in better interest of the students. However, if there any queries from the parents or students, the Board is responsible to solve them.

Regarding the cancellation of compartment exams, the Court decided to conduct this exams as planned earlier. The compartment, repeater and private student will have to compulsorily appear for exams in physical manner whenever the situation will be conducive. This could be done most probably between August 15 to september 15.

CBSE and CISCE boards in the affidavit filed to the court has mentioned that results for Class 12 regular students will be declared by 31st July. The Boards has formed a results committee for fair conduct of tabulation of results. However if the students remains unsatisfied with their scores in this results, they can opt for the improvement exams.
