It has been recently reported that the school students studying in Rajasthan schools will witness the bravery story of the Indian Air Force Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman in their textbooks.

This proposal originated in Jodhpur by the Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara who tweeted on Monday saying, “Abhinandan’s story of bravery will be introduced in the school syllabus of Rajasthan in a bid to honor him.” He also wrote a Facebook post saying #AbhinanadanDiwas.

The classes for which the textbooks will be published has not been announced.

Wing Commander Abhinanadan, who shot Pakistani F-16 warplane before his MiG 21 was bailing out. After it bailed out, he spent 60 hours in Pakistan and returned back to India on Friday.

The Minister also recommended to add the bravery stories of the martyred soldiers at Pulwama attack and got approved by the review committee. Dotasara recently formed a review committee for reviewing syllabus of the school students in the state. He also criticized the previous government of neglecting the history, culture of India.

It has been reported that the education department of Rajasthan was observed to have inaugurated government defense academy namely Maharao Shekhaji Shashastra Bal Prasikshan Academy and invested ₹31.5 crore in Sikar for preparing the students to get recruited in army, navy and air force, Dotasra informed.
