The private educational institutes of Madhya pradesh including several colleges and schools have stepped forward for help during the tough times due to the second wave of COVID-19 Pandemic. The institutes will extend their efforts for the children of the state.

The schools and colleges have decided to grant special fee waiver for students who have lost their parents, guardians or earning members of the family to the corona virus in the past two years. Children who have left with no source for studies can avail this fee waiver.

Earlier, the chief minister of madhya pradesh Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced to provide free education for children orphaned due to COVID-19 pandemic. Such children will also be offered ration and allowance of 5000 Rs. Per month untill the age of 21.

Following the same path, the private institutes are also trying to make a contribution to the society by helping underprivileged students. Children who have urge to learn and study but lacks decent resources will be benefited by such schemes and their futures will be secured.

The associations of private institutes has given the rights to individual school for deciding the percentage of fee waiver they offer. While some schools are giving 100 percent exemption, few of them has decided to waive off 50 percent of the total fees.

The private CBSE and state board schools can also grant waiver on individual basis too depending on the situations of the beneficiary. Although the management of schools can design their own policy as per the requirements, said one of the members of private schools association.

Seeing the situations, several private colleges have also decided to provide concessions in semester fees. Few of them may also issue 100 percent waiver on fees depending upon the situations of the applicant. Few Other institutes are also discussing about the waiver with respective authorities.
