41,386 students pick standard maths; 1,11,001 basic maths.

Schools and colleges to follow proper guidelines to ensure students are maintaining social distance in the form of having new seating matrix, staggered classes and revamped canteens and hostels. The HRD ministry explained that whenever the classes would resume the guidelines must be followed.

Since March 16, all of the universities and schools across the country have been closed after the central government had made an announcement of shutting down the classes to stop the spread of coronavirus. After this, the nation lockdown was announced which was extended till May 3.

As per the statement of HRD Ministry whenever the schools and colleges would resume the health and safety of students must be kept as a priority. For the schools and colleges, guidelines are being formed by the Ministry Department of School Education and Literacy for schools ad by the University Grants Commission for universities.

While the UGC has already made the statement that the new academic session might begin from the month of September whereas for the other students it might begin in August. With the help of virtual mediums the classes and online activities are being conducted for the students.

As per the recommendations of UGC, semester exams can only be conducted either online or offline in the month of July.

The official stated that so far the exams are being conducted online, the safety guideline must be followed keeping in mind the current situation in an area and prioritizing the health of the students.

The Central Board of secondary Education has also made an statement that the pending exams for class 10 and 12 will be conducted and the schedule would be said later.
