The private and government schools of Madhya Pradesh are all set to begin the process of phased reopening from July 26. The Schools will soon commence offline education for higher classes.

According to the state government, the Schools for Class 11 and 12 will reopen from July 26 while for class 9 and 10, the same will occur from August 5. Hostels for class 12 students will also begin to function.

However, the final decision for reopening of schools will be taken by the crisis management committee of a particular district. This will majorly depend on the number of active COVID-19 cases.

This decision has came out from a review meeting held on monday by Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. The CM also issued few other instructions for school reopening.

CM chouhan said that school authorities and principals must ensure to collect written permission from parents before calling the students to attend offline classes in campus.

The schools are allowed to conduct offline classes with 50 percent capacity only. The district crisis management committee will monitor the functioning of each school till the process of reopening is completed.

From the first week of August, the schools will reopen for only 4 days a week with 50 percent capacity. Each student will attend classes for only two continuous days and this process will occur in rotations.

It is strictly compulsory for all students, teachers and other staff members to follow COVID safety protocols like social distancing, use of mask, hand sanitizers, etc, during the school hours.

The schools management authorities must ensure that their all teachers and staff members are vaccinated with atleast one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Along with the schools, the state government has also allowed to reopen coaching centres for Class 12 students from 5th of August with 50 percent capacity and by strictly following safety protocol and guidelines.
