For students in Delhi, it has been directed by the Directorate of Education, that till October 5, 2020 all schools shall remain closed. Unlike now, all the online classes and all the teaching-learning activities will continue as usual, as per the orders of the government.

According to the official order issued by the Directorate of Education it stated that, “Till October 5, for all students all government and private schools will remain closed. However, students shall continue with online teaching and learning activities from their respective locations as usual.”

As per the notice it was also stated that, “For smooth conduct of online classes or any other work as per requirement school principals are authorised to call the staff .” Educational institutions shall remain closed, for now, however, since June 8 several restrictions have been eased  and have come into implementation. According to the Unlock 4.0, from September 21, 2020 on a voluntary basis from class 9 to 12 to schools have been allowed to call students .

For the polio immunisation programme scheduled on September 20, 2020, with health workers the teachers need to coordinate . A senior Directorate of Education official stated that the main objective of the programme will be to identify and cover each and every child of less than five years of age.

The official stated that “For coordinating with health workers, the schools’ principals should identify and depute teachers”.
