Sonakshi Sinha moves to empower girl child with father Shatrughan


In order to uplift the underprivileged girl children in India by supporting Project Nanhi Kali, Actress Sonakshi Sinha has teamed up with her father, actor-MP Shatrughan Sinha and has taken the wheel to drive towards social development.

Previously, actor Rishi Kapoor and his daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahani have supported Nanhi Kali too.

On July 9, the actress shared a photograph on Twitter of her with her father after the shoot of a video in support of the project.”Shot something beautiful for @NanhiKali. Go register if you want to support a great cause – education of an underprivileged girl child!” she tweeted.

Shatrughan tweeted with the same photograph saying, “Shot with @sonakshisinha for a good cause @NanhiKali. Society can only evolve when all are treated and educated equally.”

Sonakshi is also a professed animal lover and she has posed for a PETA campaign advocating the adoption and sterilization of dogs and cats.

The actress is  currently is busy with the shooting for her upcoming movie “Ittefaq” with Siddharth Malhotra directed by Abhay Chopra. The movie is an adaptation of a 1969 talkie carrying the same title.
