The Savirtibai Phule Pune University’s authorities are found to have uploaded the first-year law exam question papers at the official website before the commencement.

The First-year law exams, conducted on February 15 and 16, have been canceled. The authorities have reported a re-conduction of the papers. The new schedule has not yet been announced. The SPPU Vice-Chancellor’s team has been blamed for the mishappening, hence they are asked to submit a report.

The university was supposed to upload the model question paper, instead, they uploaded the original question paper.

The university has been repeatedly blamed for “repeated carelessness” of the university’s examination department.

The students on Friday asked to remove the head of the examination department Ashok Chavan.

Earlier, the university warned colleges about the unfair uploading of marks given to students during internal assessments. It was later found, 50 students were declared failed, which led to having found that the marks were uploaded incorrectly.

The authorities of the university informed that due to the carelessness of the college authorities, they will be penalized and asked for an undertaking, along with cut-down funds given to the college for hosting seminars and conferences.

“Colleges face stringent action in case of wrong entry of marks, even if it is a clerical error, and the SPPU does not give us any consideration. How will the SPPU handle the case when its own officials are involved in such grave errors… of uploading question papers online prior to the examination,” questioned a college principal.
