The department of Health, Medical and Family Welfare of the Telangana government has opened the registration process for the recruitment of 50,000 MBBS students to serve in the COVID-19 duties across the state. The decision was made by Telangana chief minister  Mr. K Chandrasekhar Rao in a meeting on Sunday held to review the COVID-19 scenario in the state.

The CM Directed the official of the respective department to invite applications of medical students for this recruitment. The CM also mentioned that the students serving in this duties will be awarded with grace marks and will be given priority in the government jobs in future. The CM has also requested the young doctors to come forward in serving the nation in this tough times.

According top the officials, the hired students will have to serve for two to three months to reduce the burden of professional medical and health staff working as frontline workers and to cover the shortage of availability of doctors and nurses in hospitals due to the sudden rise in COVID-19 cases in the state.

The government has opened the recruitment for doctors, nurses, lab technicians, pharmacists and other paramedical staff immediately for an indefinite period of time on temporary basis. The recruited employees will be paid with respectable duties and other perks.

The interested candidates can check their eligibility on the official website of department of Health, Medical and Family Welfare and can apply online through the portal available on the website as well.

  • Visit the official portal on the website of Department of Health, Medical and Family Welfare.
  • Update your required details like Name, date of birth, contact numbers, E-mail address, etc.
  • Enter your experience details
  • Choose your serving status and the field of work
  • Click on the “Register” button to submit your application.
  • Save a Copy of your application for future references.
