Telangana government has decided to promote its 10th grade students without conducting the remaining exams. The marks will be graded based on their internal assessment marks.
The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao reported that it would not be possible to conduct the exams amidst pandemic. As the virus infection is spreading they are not willing to take any risks with the students.
The Telangana High Court gave orders for the government to cancel the exams in areas under Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. This is due to the fact there was a tremendous increase of infection cases in the last two weeks.
The Education minister reported that the state comprised of total of 5,34,903 Class 10 with 11 papers covering 6 subjects. The government will soon decide for exams for Graduate/Post Graduate students.
