Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education, TSBIE has decided that from August 17, the Telangana Inter second year classes will start online. For second year students, the classes would be conducted through Doordarshan (DD)- Yadagiri and online platforms. The Board is carrying the last phase to start with the classes.

Because of the pandemic, in the lockdown phase, the Board has started to develop e-content of the syllabus. The Board has also selected subject experts as content pullers who will be responsible for identifying the topics that could be converted into e-content for students. While talking to TOI, Omar Jaleel who is the TSBIE Secretary stated that, “Already 40 percent of the  syllabus has been converted into e-content, through DD-Yadagiri and T-SAT it will be aired till February. Students will be provided six hours- three-hour slots in the morning as well as afternoon of learning.”

This e-content would also be streamed live on several youtube channels which shall be made available to students. So only Doordarshan and T-SAT, are not the sources. TSBIE has experimented with almost all ways through which they can reach out to each and every student. As student service centers, the Board has arranged 405 government colleges for those students cannot access to either television, smartphone, or the internet. The teachers would ensure an alternative arrangement is made for such students in all of these centers.

From August 17 onwards, teacher’s attendance has been made 50 percent mandatory. From August 20 onwards, digital classes will be conducted for students of Class 6 to 10 government schools and from September 1, 2020 class 3 to 5 digital classes would commence.
