BMSCE, one of the first private technical colleges in the city of Bangalore is very well reputed even till date. Located centrally, it is accessible from and connected to all parts of the city. BIT is situated in central Bangalore and is well connected. The infrastructure is not something worth raving about but the factor that gives it a clear edge is the highly qualified and experienced faculty. The facilities are in plenty with a boys hostel on campus and girls hostel nearby, both of which are known to be strict. There aren’t good sports facilities. The crowd is mainly urban due to its location and sees a lot of students from all over the state and country. There is a diverse crowd which is easy to mingle in. Cultural activities are encouraged and it holds an annual techno-cultural fest ‘Manthan’. Placements are very reliable.

BNMIT, located in Banashankari Stage II, is accessible from most parts of the city. The campus is still being constructed and does not have a very good planning and design to boast of. There are two girls hostels, one on campus and one outside and a boys hostel off campus, all of which are maintained well. The faculty is average and still has scope for significant improvement. This institute is known for being stringent when it comes to discipline. There is a dress code to be complied with for both boys and girls. An annual techno-cultural fest, Tatva, is hosted by it and is known quite well among other colleges.

RNSIT is located far from central Bangalore but is well-connected by buses. It is among the top engineering colleges in the city with good academic facilities. The infrastructure for extracurricular activities is missing though. The hostel, built newly, is very good and well maintained. The teachers in this institute are splendid, being skilled and highly qualified both. The crowd is like most other typical engineering colleges in the city. Cultural activities are encouraged with an annual techno-sports festival, Pulse, an inter-college fest, Pantheon, and an intra-college fest, Parichay. Placements are guaranteed to all students with a good salary.
