UAE Education Ministry has got a good news for the students holding Indian degree in the United Arab Emirates. The students will now get an equivalent hold in the country of UAE. The decision to give equivalency to the Indian degrees in UAE was initiated after the information was provided to the Ministry of Education of UAE through the ‘Action Plan for Academic and Administrative Reforms,’ issued by the University Grand Commission.

The Indian Ambassador Mr. Navdeep Suri called the Minister of Education, UAE, Hussain Al Hammadi on 25th April, 2019 in Abu Dhabi, to discuss the hardship faced by the Indian degree holders in UAE (United Arab Emirates) in the context of non-equivalency of Indian  degrees because of the unclarity in internal/external marks.

The applications that were previously rejected on the basis of the statement mentioned on the degrees, announcing the word ‘external,’ will be reassessed as ‘”The word ‘external’ in some Indian mark sheets reflect the method of evaluation and not the place of study,” clarified by the UAE Education Ministry.

“The Ministry of Education of UAE has no objection to equivalent those degrees that meet all other certificate equivalency criteria,” The Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi, proclaimed. The UAE Education Ministry further requested the students to co-operate firmly, whose degrees were rejected previously. “The Ministry is steadily working on it and it will take a few amount of time to review all the applications as they have got them bundled in bulk,” it said.
