According to the reports, UGC NET 2018 Results is likely to be declared by the end of this month. The National Eligibility Test which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to release the results soon by the end of this month on cbsenet.nic.in. However, there is no official confirmation from the Boards yet. There are a number of media reports floating online, which are speculating that the result might be announced within the ongoing week.

As per the earlier schedules, CBSE had planned to release the answer sets for the UGC NET 2018 exam by the end of August and the results in the month of September 2018. However, reports suggest that due to the shift of UGC NET examination to National Testing Agency (NTA), CBSC is expected to prepone the schedules. Previously, CBSE was responsible for JEE and NET Exams. Now with the approval by the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development (HRD), the NTA will conduct all exams previously held by the CBSE, AICTE and UGC.

“From 2019 the National Testing Agency (NTA) will start taking over the various entrance examinations conducted by bodies such as CBSE, which conducts 24 different examinations and AICTE. It will be done in a phased manner and we will start by relieving CBSE of various entrance examinations it conducts So that CBSE can concentrate on the Board Examinations alone,” said Javadekar, HRD Minister.

The UGC NET examination which was conducted earlier on 8th July, 2018 had a massive number of 11.48 lakh candidates across 91 cities. The examination was conducted across 2082 examination centre. A total of 2864 observers and 675 boards’ officials were employed for the successful running of the said examination.
