The Union Education Minister of India, Dharmendra Pradhan has launched a new mobile app named as “Nadi ko Jano” which is developed for the study of rivers across the country.

The sole purpose of this mobile application is to gather informative details about the Indian river system and present it in the form of student-friendly interface.

The App is launched as an initiative which aims to create an informative database about Indian rivers. This initiative is a part of the research for the Resurrection Foundation.

According to the Education Minister, any student can upload information about the rivers in their particular area and can also share images and videos of the same on this app.

The app will collect information like water level, pollution level, geographical status and local updates about the rivers. All this information will be stored on a common database and can be viewed at any time.

The launch of this application was announced during an online webinar which was organised by the Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal. The Union education minister attended this webinar as the guest of honour.

As informed by Dr Sachidananda Joshi, the President of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, this webinar was organised to appreciate the role of indian teachers and mentors in the implementation of NEP 2020.

On the occasion, Mr. Pradhan highlighted that the teachers share most important role in the development of a society and our nature or environment is the first teacher of human race.

He remarked that the ancient tradition of imparting knowledge to future generation is the key factor which has raised the importance of the Indian education system and has maintained its status around the globe.

The education minister further added that the new education policy will induce creative thinking and innovation skill among the youth which will make India a knowledge economy.
