UGC To Introduce National Academic Credit Bank (NAC-Bank) Of Students

University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body that maintains and develops the standard of higher education, has decided to launch the National Academic Credit (NAC) Bank for students to enable student mobility across the education system. The credits can be collected and later used for the achievement of a degree program.

The credit will be managed by the higher education governor as a digital entity. The full details are available on the UGC website for the use of students, where it has asked for suggestions about NAC Bank before December 20th, 2019.

About NAC (National Academic Credit) Bank:

It will be linked with the student’s personal bank accounts through the credit organization system. The academic credits earned by the student through skills and experience can be used for different educational platforms.

It will be beneficial if the students are looking forward to joining academic institutions. The credits will be verified by NAC Bank with the grades and performance level of the student.

The NAC Bank will act as Data and Credit depository.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Human Resource Development has announced that 71 out of 344 private universities have been examined by the UGC in the last 3 years.
