The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of civil services preliminary examination at upsc.gov.in. The result came out on July 27 night of the June 18 held examination. The exam was tougher, as per the appearing candidates, as it contained questions on Goods and Services Tax (GST), benami transactions and schemes run by the central government, concepts which aren’t very clear to many.

Questions in regard of National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), ‘Vidyanjali Yojana’ and ‘Smart India Hackathon’ were also included in the paper, all of which had been NDA’s initiative, and were really new to the aspirants, hence found troublesome to a lot.

The Supreme Court has also received a petition in the context of this year’s UPSC preliminary examination paper. The petitioner claimed that  two questions in the 2017 preliminary examination of the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) were wrong. She told the bench, “There are rules for determining whether the questions are wrong? The result is yet to be declared. It (result) will come out any day.”

In her plea, the petitioner did not fail to mention the earlier judgments of the apex court which cleared that a question has more than one correct answer should be considered as incorrect.

The appeared candidates can view the result of the preliminary examination held across the country by following these steps:
