WHO launched the pandemic situation update of coronavirus with the messenger. The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched its coronavirus chatbot on Facebook Messenger as it expands its efforts to tackle online misinformation. WHO’s “Health Alert” gives answers to 1.3 billion active Facebook questions. WHO and now addressed 12 million people.

Stan Chudunovsky, the vice president of messenger said that to avoid misinformation which creates fear and panic. WHO will continue to provide important information through messenger. Facebook has previously said it will partner with developers to offer free services to health organizations.

Facebook announced that the COVID-19 updates given by WHO through circulation. All the information on the COVID 19 outbreak is now available to the public as an initiative of WHO. More than 20 global health organizations have launched Messenger services, including Unicef and the governments of France and India.
