Have written to Kerala CM to put emphasis on educational infrastructure: Rahul Gandhi

The heir of Gandhi Family and former President of Indian National Congress (INC) Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said he has written to the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan requesting him to signify educational infrastructure in the state.

Rahul Gandhi giving an example where a girl died of snakebite, said, “A few days earlier, a daughter of Wayanad was bitten by a snake and died in a school. We must not ignore this, so I have written to CM Pinarayi Vijayan asking him to put special emphasis on Educational Infrastructure.”

The Congress leader, while his parliamentary constituency visit to Wayanad said that ‘Kerala has developed a reputation for a good education’.

While attending a school event, he said, “Education is at the heart of the development of any country. And Kerala has a good reputation for education. Youngsters from Wayanad and the rest of Kerala go abroad and make India proud.”

Kerala has a 94% literacy rate, the highest in the country. Kerala is the largest Producer of Rubber and major Exporter of the Spice trade, Seafood, and Coir.
