The film received positive reviews in India and earned Rs 85 crores worldwide before being released in China. The film became eighth Bollywood movie to be released in Chinese theatres. ‘Secret Superstar’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Hindi Medium’, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Sultan’ and ‘Hichki’ are the previous seven.
The duo, Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor, had earlier given several classics during 70s and 80s. Just to name the few, Kabhie Kabhie (1976), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), Naseeb (1981) and Coolie (1983). They mostly played brothers but in ‘102 Not Out’ Amitabh Bachchan played a cool and happening father of a boring son Rishi Kapoor.
