In India, stand up comedian, Zakir Khan has been giving this medicine ever since he came into prominence. He even released a show his comedy show ‘Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare’ on Amazon Prime video. The show turned out to be success.
To tickle the audience’s funny bone, he has now signed a multi-year deal with Amazon Prime Video. This deal includes the second season of his show and 3 comedy specials. Along with Prime video, Only March Louder (OML) an entertainment and event management company also confirmed the news.
Zakir’s first stand up special, Haq Se Single was released on the streaming platform in 2017. It became a huge success and one of the most watched content on Prime video.
The comedian talked about his new deal with the streaming giant and said :
“I am really excited to further deepen our association and expand the reach of Indian comedy right around the globe and reach over 200 countries with my next few specials.”
Amazon Prime Video’s director and head content, Vijay Subramaniam is excited to partner with Zakir again. He was quoted as saying :
“Zakir Khan has starred in a number of hugely popular comedy properties available on Prime Video. We can’t wait for Prime members to see what’s next, starting with the new season of ‘Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare.”
While, among the three stand-ups announced, one of them is titled as ‘Tathastu’. The COO, OML of Prime Video, Dhruv Sheth expressed his happiness with the deal and further told that it is an exciting time for both the parties.
The comedian will surely provide wholesome entertainment.
