A week ago, actress, Rakul Preet Singh had arrived in Mumbai to start shooting for her cross-border love story. Arriving in Mumbai, she got to know that the shooting schedule from 7 Sept to 14 September has been canceled. Her co-star, Arjun Kapoor testing positive for COVID-19 was the reason.

As per a report from the Mumbai Mirror, the actress said that she had boarded the flight and was on the runway when she got the call about the shoot getting canceled. Further, she said :

“Had I known even half an hour earlier, I wouldn’t have boarded the flight.”

Thereafter, she flew back to Hyderabad to start the shoot of her Telugu film, which was supposed to release on 15 September. Earlier, in August end, the actress was in Mumbai, shooting for the particular film. She informed that a day before Arjun tested positive for the virus, she had tested negative for COVID-19.

On this, she further elaborated, saying :

“He (Arjun) didn’t come in contact with anyone on the set. I traced back and figured that he might have come in contact with someone infected while I was shooting in Hyderabad.”

She informed the publication, that she’s in touch with Arjun and the latter is doing fine.

When asked to describe her experience of shooting in Hyderabad amidst the pandemic, she said that she feels like she is living in a “bubble”.

The actress shared how everyone except the actors is wearing masks all the time. Her film with Arjun is set in 1947 and is a love story that covers a generation. The film is untitled as of yet.

Director, Kaashive Nair is helming the film with, John Abraham, Aditi Rao Hydari, Neena Gupta also starring in the film.

First look of the film was released on August 26.
