The Christmas Blockbuster ‘Dangal’ starring Aamir khan was a Box office hit. The movie bagged a total of Rs. 523.47 crores till date. After the demonetisation, film industries were scared about facing a heavy loss in terms of economy which ‘Dangal’ saved.
Aamir Khan received many heartwarming letters from the owners of single screen theatres and they definitely got him emotional. The theatre owners thank him for the movie and tell them how much they’ve suffered in 2015 and 2016.
He says, “It has been a very exciting and fulfilling journey. When I look back at my career, all my decisions – on the face of it – have mostly been impractical and risky, with the latest instance being ‘Dangal’ (2016).”
“Also, I have been able to do the kind of work that I believe in. Not all of us are lucky enough to be in the position where you can choose to do what you want. I feel very grateful to be in that position. I am able to do the work that I love”.
