Was scared of losing stardom with 'Dangal': Aamir!

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan says that he was scared of losing his stardom with the movie ‘Dangal’. When the makers of the movie offered him the role of a wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in the movie ‘Dangal’ he was scared that with this role he might lose all his fan following because in that role he has to play an old and fat man.

Aamir Khan says that when he heard the story of Dangal, he thought that he has to do this movie because it is a beautiful story. On the other hand, he was concern that earlier he has done movies like ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘PK’. He has an image of six pack and star image and if he will do the movie ‘Dangal’ then he has to gain weight and he has to portray the character of an old man. He was concerned that what will his fans think, but now he is ok. He did not lose his fan following.

On Wednesday, Aamir said during the promotion of his upcoming movie ‘Secret Superstar‘. He said that Mahavir was a 55-year-old man and he is 52, however, there is not much difference between them they are too close. But if the fans are concerned then they consider him as of 30 years old, so he said the director that he liked the movie but he will surely do it after 1o years when he will become old and the makers of the movie have agreed to that too. Aamir says that the story of the movie could not leave his mind and he decided that he should do the movie without getting afraid of anything.

The movie ‘Dangal’ was released in the year 2016 and the movie broke various records at the box office collection worldwide. Being a producer Aamir says that he likes his movies to be economically viable. He feels that through the movie Dangal he is working in the person and investing his money and should get at least 10-15 percent profit. But, when he looked down at the box office he said that if he will make the movie thinking that how much collections the movie will make then he would not have made ‘Taare Zammen Par’ or ‘Secret Superstar’.

Talking about the Aamir Khan’s upcoming Indian musical drama movie ‘Secret Superstar’, which is written by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. The movie features Zaira Wasim, Meher Vij and Aamir Khan in lead roles. The movie revolves around a teenage girl named ‘Insia’ and she has a dream of becoming a singer and she wants her voice to be heard all across the globe. Insia’s father opposes her dream while her mother is in her favour to achieve her dreams. Insia is from Kashmir and she is a girl with a full of passion. Later, she decided to fulfil her dream by wearing a hijab and taking to YouTube to secretly upload her songs. According to the reports, Aamir Khan will play her mentor in the movie.

Director, Advait Chandan said that the movie does not base on the real-life incident all the characters in the movie are portraying the original character and not based on anybody. But, the movie is inspired by the people, the people whom he met during the ‘Satyamev Jayate’ are the ones this movie is inspired from. About the child actor Zaira Wasim, she made her acting debut with the movie ‘Dangal’ and she considers herself very lucky that she got an opportunity to work along with the Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan. She says that she is glad that she got a chance to work with Aamir again. Earlier she did the movie ‘Dangal’ along with the actor and she says that she never wondered of working with him. She said that she is very lucky.

The movie “Secret Superstar” is all set to release on October 19.
