After seven years, Bollywood actor couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan might come together in Anurag Kashyap’s “Gulab Jamun”, sources have claimed. The couple last worked together in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’ in 2010.
Aishwarya confirmed that she has been approached for a movie titled ‘Gulab Jamun’, which will be directed by Sarvesh Mewara. When asked about the progress of the project, Abhishek spoke, ” That film is not Anurag’s film. It is by a new director and he (Anurag) will be producing it. We are still discussing it. ”
“We can’t announce anything yet. I have always maintained that it is better if the film’s producer announces it. “Abhishek said during an event to celebrate 20 years of ‘Border’.
The actor said that they are still in early talks regarding filmmaker Anurag Kashyap‘s upcoming production.
A Stardust report claimed that the couple has liked the script but is yet to give the final nod. It will be a rom-com to be directed by a new comer and produced by Anurag Kashyap, the report further said.
Junior Bachchan’s next Bollywood project is JP Dutta’s ‘Paltan’. On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in ‘Aey Dil Hai Mushkil’ with Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor (2016). She has signed a movie by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, titled ‘Fanney Khan’ opposite Anil Kapoor. The movie is said to go on floors this year end.
