Decca Records, one of the most revered British record labels, announced on 30th of May their decision to sign in 65-year old Jeff Goldblum as one of their upcoming jazz artists. The decision had reportedly been made after Universal executives had spotted Goldblum perform jazz music alongside Gregory Porter on the Graham Norton Show the previous year, and had immediately refused to let his talent go to waste.

Tom Lewis, Decca director of A&R announced via the press release that everybody loved Jeff Goldblum for different reasons. His acting skills had long since been recognized, and he was also very well known for his penchant of spending his free time performing jazz music with his own band – The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra at the Rockwell Table, and Stage Jazz Club in LA. Lewis pointed out that Jeff Goldblum had a very unique way of playing jazz music which resulted in an immense elevation in the listener’s mood, and Decca Records would want nothing more than to bring this enchanting music to people’s houses, closer to their hearts.

As a response, Jeff Goldblum gave a statement where he pointed out that he was extremely happy to be ‘in cahoots’ with all the people at Decca Records, which was definitely one of the most prestigious labels of all time, being managers of artists like The Rolling Stone, and Paul McCartney. Jeff had been playing piano ever since he was a child, and his love for jazz music had grown during the years he spent performing music in Pittsburgh’s famous cocktail lounges. His debut album is expected to be released later within this year, following the release of his upcoming film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
