Adam Sandler’s Twitter account hacked

American actor Adam Sandler joins the list of celebrities whose official Twitter account has been hacked. The Uncut Gems actor’s account was hacked on 26th November and the hackers retweeted tweets from several accounts, primarily from the handle @iNuBLoM, which was also referenced recently when singer Mariah Carey’s account was hacked.

One tweet from @MJerkme that was retweeted by the hacker was directed at former American President Barack Obama, calling him an “orangutan monkey” and writing, “u ruined my life when u messed with the food stamp rates i hate u forever retard.”

According to reports by Variety, other tweets that appear to have been deleted were referencing Carey’s hack and one of them was directed at the current President Donald Trump

Chuckling Squad, the hacker group behind these hacks has also been linked to the hacking of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s account. At least one individual was arrested in connection with Dorsey’s hacking.

According to Motherboard, Dorsey’s hack was carried out using a technique called SIM-swapping, where hackers trick a wireless provider like T-Mobile or Verizon into giving control of a phone number. They can then gain access to two-factor authentication SMS codes post tweets through Twitter’s now dysfunctional text-to-tweet feature. It is still unknown if Carey and Sandler’s hacking were done using the same technique.
