‘Adipurush’ Teaser Review: Prabhas’ Starrer Gets Mixed Responses
After a wait of three-long years, the teaser of Prabhas’ magnum opus is finally out. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti 2022, the makers unveiled the teaser video of the epic saga entitled Adipurush. Check out the video here.
The two-minute teaser features Prabhas as Lord Rama, who gets ready with his troupe of vanars to defeat the 10-headed Lankesh, played by Saif Ali Khan. It also features the great chemistry between Rama and Sita, played by Kriti Sanon.
Though fans are excited to witness Prabhas back on big screens after the huge success of Baahubali, some are disappointed by the shoddy VFX, which looks less like live-action and more like an animated feature film.
More About Prabhas & Kriti Sanon Starrer ‘Adipurush’
Adipurush is one of the much-anticipated Indian films of 2023. Directed by Tanhaji famed Om Raut, the film is a reprise of Ramayana by Valmiki. The story is set 7000 years back in the film, where Lord Rama along with his vanar sena troop towards Lanka to battle the evil Ravana.
However, Om Raut’s directorial has its own characters, Prabhas as Raghav (Lord Rama), Kriti Sanon as Janaki (Sita) and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (Ravan). The film is based on Hindu mythological text Ramayana but with a heavy use of CGI and VFX.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-series, Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, the movie is slated to be released in theatres on January 12, 2023 in IMAX and 3D.
