Anurag Kashyap, the filmaker tweets about releasing the film named “Shoojit Sircar’s long delayed film, Shoebite on OTT platforms. Since 2010 the film has been stalled and is starring Bachchan in the film.
Earlier, Ayushman Khurana had also tweeted about this film saying that he has watched the edit of the film twice and is looking forward for the release of the film too. In addition, to this he also said that if he film is released it would be India’s entry into the Oscars. This is the right time to release the film.
He stated that he has seen it twice, once alone and once with Tahira, he was very much inspired by the film.
Since last two years, the film has been caught in the battle of copyrights among two studios. Even repeated requests have been made by Amitabh to release the film.
Last year in one of the tweets he wrote “Please please please, it is a great story”.
M Night Shyamalan, Hollywood director has given the idea on which the script of the film is written.
He also added that “This is an insult to the actor and disregard to the creative team of people. You cannot disrespect an artist like Bachchan who has given years to this industry and has been working for two years to complete the film. No action has been taken till now”.
