At the music launch of directorial debut of Vikram Phadnis’s ‘Hrudayantar’ on Saturday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan confessed that she is open to expand her filmography by working in Marathi films.

The 43-year-old-actress made her acting debut with a Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film ‘Iruvar’ in 1997 and her Bollywood debut came by around the same year with romantic comedy ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya’. Speaking in the event, she said, “I’m an actor and it doesn’t matter in which language the film is made or by whom it is made. I’ve carved my own journey. I would love to work in a Marathi language film as in any other language as long as the script excites me. I may not speak Marathi fluently but I understand it.”

Supporting the director, Ash said, “Promotion is the core of the day and it is happening at every platform. But you should appreciate Vikram’s ability to keep it true and bring magic to every platform he has chosen, be it muhurat or trailer launch or any forthcoming events plus he has forged amazing friendship in all these years which you’re getting to witness over all these platforms.”
