Ajay Devgn has been receiving a lot of appreciation for the recently unveiled first look of his upcoming film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The film is a biographical period drama based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, an unsung warrior of glorious Indian history and the military leader in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

While Ajay is playing the titular role in the film and is currently busy overseeing the post production of the film, the actor has been reported to be planning a franchise to bring the stories of other unsung warriors of India on the big screen.

According to report on Mumbai Mirror, Ajay’s team has already shortlisted some stories that he is keen to narrate. The idea hit the actor when he was researching for his role of Tanaji Malusare in the upcoming Om Raut-directed action-drama.

The report quotes Ajay Devgn as saying, “When researching Tanaji, I was fascinated by warriors like him who have made significant contributions to our freedom movement. These are stories of valour and I want to bring some of them to the screen.”

He further added, “Om simultaneously came up with the idea of showcasing the lives of other unsung warriors. The seed was actually planted by him but the thought remained. We should take it forward.”
