Ajay Devgn’s next biopic based on Jaswant Singh Gill!

Ajay Devgn has collaborated with an Indian model Abhinav Shuklaa to make a film on ‘Jaswant Singh Gill’, the brave chief engineer, who risked his life by going down in the borehole in the capsule to save the lives of 64 miners who were stuck in the underground coal mine.

The incident happened on Nov. 13, 1989 that about 220 coal miners were doing their usual job of breaking coal walls by triggering blasts. Unfortunately, they blasted off a wall of an underground water table as well and the water flushed inside. While many were able to come out, about eight men died, and there were about 64 people stuck inside. Jaswant Singh Gill, Took no time to decide that he wanted to go inside. When they all were deciding to send  senior person inside Mr Gill risked his own life and he managed to save them all and became a hero for the whole nation instantly.

Filmmakers have acquired the official rights to the life story of Jaswant Singh Gill. The title of the movie has not been decided yet. Work on the script has already begun and Ajay will go through extensive preparation before he starts shooting next year.

Currently Ajay Devgn is busy shooting for Milan Luthria’s “Baadshaho” which is scheduled for a worldwide release on September 1, 2017. Baadshaho’ is the story of “six badasses” set in the emergency period of 1975 when they looted a truck full of gold. It is the backdrop of 1975 Emergency that has made us wonder why so many filmmakers are looking at this subject. Other than Baadshaho, ‘Indu Sarkar’ directed by Madhur Bhandarkar is set during Emergency. The action-thriller has been written by Rajat Arora and is set to hit the theaters on September 1, 2017. Impressed by the looks of Ajay and Emraan, the moviegoers are now curious to catch a glimpse of the rest of the star cast including Esha Gupta, Ileana D’Cruz and Vidyut Jammwal.
