Actor Ajay Devgn is all set for another directorial project in his next film titled ‘Mayday’. He will also be playing a pivotal role in the film, which will go on one floor this year in December. Reportedly, Amitabh Bachchan will also play a major part in the human drama. The remaining cast of the film is yet to be finalized. Devgn will also be the producer of Mayday.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on social media. He wrote, “BIGGG NEWS… #AjayDevgn to direct #AmitabhBachchan… An edge-of-the-seat human drama… Titled #Mayday… #Ajay is playing a pilot in the film… Remaining cast under finalisation… Produced and directed by #AjayDevgn… Starts this Dec in #Hyderabad (sic).”
Prior to Mayday, Ajay Devgn will be seen essaying the role of a pilot in Bhuj: The Pride of India. Helmed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film is set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Devgn plays the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik in the film, which will be directly released on Disney+Hotstar soon. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk, and Pranitha Subhash, among others in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Mayday will be Ajay Devgn’s second project as a director. His first venture was the 2008 film U Me Aur Hum which also featured Kajol.
