After teasing the audience with still and motion posters for some time, the makers of the upcoming film Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior have finally released the official trailer of the film today.
The three minutes and twenty one second long trailer gives a good enough glimpse into this historical drama and promises an exciting experience for the audience. Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan look ferocious as Tanaji Malusare and Udaybhan Rathod respectively while Kajol looks majestic as Tanaji’s wife Savitri Malusare.

Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, an unsung warrior of glorious Indian history and the military leader in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who was celebrated for his role in the Battle of Sinhagad that happened in 1670 AD on the fort of Sinhagad near the city of Pune.
He fought against Udaybhan Rathod, fort keeper under Jai Singh I who was a Mughal Army Chief. Tanaji lost his life in the battle but secured the hill fort of Kondhana for the Maratha empire. After the battle, Chhatrapati Shivaji renamed the hill fort of Kondhana as Sinhagad or ‘lion’s fort’ as a tribute to Tanaji’s bravery.
Besides Ajay, Saif, and Kajol, the movie also features Sharad Kelkar, Jagapathi Babu, Devdutta Nage, Pankaj Tripathi, Neha Sharma, Ajinkya Deo, Kailash Waghmare, Hardik Sangani, Luke Kenny, and Vipul Gupta.
Directed by Om Raut, the film is produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar.
The film was initially scheduled for a worldwide release on 27 December 2019 but the release date was later pushed forward to 10 January 2020 where it will be clashing with Deepika Padukone starrer and Meghna Gulzar directorial Chhapaak.
