The Tamil remake of National Award winning film ‘Pink’, originally starred Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles is titled ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ will release on August 10, 2019. The film is helmed by H. Vinoth and stars superstar Ajith, Vidya Balan, Mahat Raghavendra, Shraddha Srinath, Andrea Tariang and Abhirami Venkatachalam in important roles. The film is bankrolled by Boney Kapoor.
It was Sridevi‘s wish that Ajith does a film under her Husband’s banner since both the actors worked in ‘English Vinglish’.
Trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to share the release date of the Tamil film ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’, he wrote, “Release date confirmed… #Tamil remake of #Pink, titled #NerkondaPaarvai, starring Ajith Kumar, to release on 10 Aug 2019… Vidya Balan in special appearance… Currently being filmed in #Hyderabad… Directed by H Vinoth… Produced by Boney Kapoor.”

“While working with Ajith in ‘English Vinglish’, Sridevi had expressed her desire that Ajith does a Tamil film for our home production. Nothing exciting came up till one day last year; Ajith suggested remaking ‘Pink’ in Tamil. She immediately agreed as she thought it was the most appropriate and timely film to make and Ajith would bring all the elements required to make it into a great Tamil film,” Boney Kapoor had previously said.
