It seems like work never ceases to stop for the actor, Akshay Kumar. His film Laxmmi is going to release on Disney + Hotstar on November 9. Though Kumar is going to start shooting for his next film soon. In January he is starting the shoot of his action-comedy, Bachchan Pandey with Kriti Sanon.
Sajid Nadiadwala is the film’s producer, marking his and Akshay’s 10th film together. While Farhad Samji is helming the film. Shooting for the film will go on till March.
Talking about the film, a source close to the film told :
“Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Farhad Samji and the rest of the unit will fly to Jaisalmer for a marathon schedule of over 60 days, during which they will be filming in real locations. Last month, the production team secured all the requisite permissions and locked the shooting spots.”
For shooting the film the cast and crew will stay in a Palace hotel in Jaisalmer. They will even shoot some of the indoor sequences there for the film.
But will shooting the film be safe during Covid? Certainly not, but the producer, Sajid Nadiadwala is going to make sure that the virus does not spread. For this, he has formed a special team which comprises doctors from Mumbai, who will ensure that everyone remains safe on sets.
The cast of the film will undergo the necessary Covid test at the end of December while the crew is going to undergo a three-day quarantine before shooting starts.
Earlier when the film was announced, January 2021 was the film’s release month but since the pandemic came, now a new release date will be announced soon.
Akshay Kumar also has YRF’s Prithviraj in his pipeline while he has completed the shoot of his espionage thriller, Bell Bottom.
