Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Kesari‘ slows down on Tuesday as the film’s collection dropped 15% from last day’s collection and minted ₹7.17 crores. Till date, the film has collected ₹93.49 crores. The film did well in cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Ludhiana, and Chandigarh.

According to the box office numbers shared by film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter, the film collected ₹7.17 crores on its first Tuesday in theatres. Taran wrote, “Kesari slows on Tue… North circuits continue to score and contribute to the total… Should cross ₹ 100 cr today/tomorrow… Thu 21.06 cr, Fri 16.75 cr, Sat 18.75 cr, Sun 21.51 cr, Mon 8.25 cr, Tue 7.17 cr. Total: ₹ 93.49 cr. India biz.”

Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Kesari’ narrates the story of the bravest battle ever fought in the history of world Battle of Saragarhi. It explores the story of Havildar Ishar Singh who participated in the Battle. The Battle of Saragarhi which was fought on 12 September 1897, is known as the bravest battle ever fought because it witnessed an army of 21 Sikhs soldiers of the British Indian Army against 10,000 Afghans.

The 36th Sikhs was an infantry regiment comprising only 21 Sikh soldiers. The regiment is now known as the 4th battalion of the Sikh Regiment. They were stationed at an army post and were attacked by around 10,000 Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen. It occurred in the North-West Frontier Province, now called Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan.
