Ayan Mukerji’s directorial superhero film Brahmastra’s shoot has been wrapped up. The duo of lead actors along with the director bid adieu to Varanasi. Lovebirds Alia-Ranbir starrer film is slated to release on September 9. The movie has been the talk of the town since 2018. The film finally completes the shoot after 5 long years.

Alia Bhatt Shares Motion Picture: Says It’s A Wrap

Director Ayan Mukerji, the lead actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor wrap up the shoot of their epic drama Brahmastra. Ever since 2018, the film has been the most awaited film of the year. Finally, the wait is over as Alia and Ranbir have finished shooting for Brahmastra.

Alia Bhatt took to Twitter to share a motion picture of the last schedule of Brahmastra with the caption, “We started shooting in 2018. And now … finally .. The filming of Brahmastra ( Part One ) comes to an end !! I’ve been wanting to say this for such a long time .. ITS A WRAP !!!!!!!! See you at the cinemas . 09.09.2022!”

Apart from the duo leads, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy will also feature in pivotal roles. Brahmastra is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 9.

Director Ayan Mukerji too posted a picture with Ranbir and Alia while wrapping up the shoot. Sharing an adorable picture with the lovely couple, Mukerji writes, “And finally… It’s a Wrap!💥
5 years since we took our first shot on Brahmāstra, and we’ve finally filmed our last one!”

He further added, “Absolutely incredible, challenging, once-in-a-lifetime journey!!! Some hand of destiny that we finished the shoot of ‘Part One: Shiva’ in Varanasi – a city infused with the spirit of Shiv Bhagwan, and that too at the most sacred Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, allowing us to finish in an atmosphere of purity, joy and blessings 🙏Exciting days ahead, last lap ahead ! 09.09.2022 – Here we come ! 💥”

After five long years, the film finally wraps up. Brahmastra will be a multi-lingual film that will be released in four languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, the film is slated to hit the theatres on September 9, 2022.
