Alia Bhatt is riding high on the success of her recent hit film Gully Boy, the 25-year-old actress nowhere near to slow down as she will be seen next in Abhishek Varman’s multi-starrer film ‘Kalank‘. After this, she will be next seen in Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Brahmastra‘ wherein Alia is cast opposite her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. Besides this, Alia also has Karan Johar’s mega directorial project ‘Takht‘ in her kitty.

Now, The ace Bollywood actress is being roped in to play the world’s first woman amputee-mountaineer Arunima Sinha’s biopic. According to the reports from Peepingmoon, the actress has greenlit the project that will be based on Arunima’s book ‘Born Again On The Mountain: A Story of Losing Everything and Finding it Back’. The reports also claimed that it was a quick yes from Alia when she was approached to play the part.

A source near the development has been quoted saying, “Arunima’s life has been an inspiration to many across the globe and what she has managed isn’t just an ordinary feat. When makers approached her to make a film on her and told her they were planning to get Alia on board, she was excited.”

The source also added that Alia’s date hadn’t been locked yet due to her packed schedule. The upcoming project will kick start in 2020, by then she will be done with the shooting of ‘Takht’.

The project will be bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production. This film would mark Alia Bhatt’s fourth consecutive film with the production house after ‘Kalank’, ‘Brahmastra’, and ‘Takht’.
