This Friday, eight Bollywood films were released and yet a Hollywood film ‘Alita – Battle Angel‘ earned better than all of them at the Indian Box Office. The film earned ₹2.49 crores on its first day which was far more better than even Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘The Fakir Of Venice‘.

Where Nargis Fakhri and Sachiin Joshi starrer ‘Amavas’ had to settle for ₹60-70 lakhs net, the remaining others were a total washout at the box office. Even Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor‘s film turned out to be a huge disappointment. Notably, it was Akhtar’s debut film which was made a decade ago.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office numbers of Hollywood film ‘Alita- Battle Angel’.

‘Amavas’ also stars Mona Jasbir Singh, Ali Asgar Agha, Navneet Kaur Dhillon, and Vivan Bhathena. It is directed by Bhushan Patel and it’s release date delayed twice for four weeks.
‘Alita’ is based on Yukito Kishiro’s comics manga ‘Battle Angel Alita’, which is known as Gunnm in Japan. The film is brought to us by the producer of ‘Avatar’ and ‘Titanic’ James Cameron and co-producer Jon Landau, and director of ‘Sin City’ Robert Rodriguez.
