Fresh from the success of his recent show, Avrodh: The Siege Within, actor Amit Sadh is ready for another project. He is going to star in Zee5’s Zidd along with Amrita Puri. Both the actors will play a couple in the show.
So what can you expect from Amit’s next project?
The show is being described as a story about commitment, persuasion, passion, and conviction. It is about a couple, who turn around impossible situations with their never give up attitude.
In a statement, Sadh talked about the show and said :
“I would like to dedicate this to our country, to our citizens and each and every soldier of our country. This is the biggest honor as a citizen and as an artist,
It is beyond acting to wear the uniform again and to be telling another real story of the valor, courage, strength, and sacrifices that armed forces men and women make.”
The actor hopes that the makers can pull off an authentic story, which makes people smile and the army men proud of their valor.
Meanwhile, his co-star, Amrita Puri said :
“A story like Zidd that shows the triumph of human will in extraordinarily difficult circumstances made me feel hopeful. It has been a very tough year for everyone across the globe. Faith that we shall get through these difficult times is the need of the hour. Zidd is a testament to the human spirit.”
So who is going to helm this ambitious series? Director, Vishal Mangalorkar is going to do so, with Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla producing it.
Boney Kapoor said that the story of the show is relevant for our current time, saying :
“After we started working together on our film, Maidaan, I knew that FreshLime Films was the right partner for me to make my digital debut as a producer,
When Akash and Joy narrated the story of Zidd to me, I was overwhelmed with josh and tears at the same time. I feel proud to present this story.”
Apart from Sadh and Puri, the show will also feature actor Sushant Singh. It’ll start work soon and will stream on Zee5.
