Actor Amitabh Bachchan is back in the rap game for his upcoming film ‘Badla’, after dropping verses in Umesh Shukla’s ‘102 Not Out’. Amitabh Bachchan will rap in a song titled ‘Aukat’. The song will be the part of the film’s opening credit. “The aim is to set the tone for the thriller with some hard-hitting lyrics. The track also reflects the current mood and angst of society,” revealed a source close to the development. He also added the song was recently shot with the superstar on a set in Mumbai.

‘Badla’ is helmed by Sujoy Ghosh and it also features Taapsee Pannu. The director revealed that Amitabh’s unique voice adds a different flavor to the song. “Bachchan sir has elevated the vibe of the video. It presents him in an uber-cool avatar. He rapped effortlessly,” Sujoy added. The song is composed by Clinton Cerejo and is choreographed by Bosco and Caeser.

The movie will mark the second collaboration of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu after 2016’s courtroom drama ‘Pink‘. The upcoming film ‘Badla’ is an official adaptation of the Spanish thriller film ‘Contratiempo’. The film also features the King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan in a form of a cameo. “You need to watch the film to find out,” Sujoy signs off.

The film is slated to release on March 8, 2019.
